Core competences

This section requires that you state the evidence you will use to demonstrate your achievement of core competence, and thus that your skills and experience are suitable for you to progress to ST3.

Proof of competence

Before you begin this section of the form, we strongly advise that you read the eligibility criteria page of this website and our applicants guide - in particular the sections on core competence, as these will give you a good idea of the most appropriate type of evidence to give, and how best to answer the questions in this section of the application form.

Once you are familiar with how best to approach this, go ahead and answer the questions as necessary. Please note that you will be required to submit some documentary evidence of your achievement of core competence alongside your application. The most common way by which this is done is by attaching it to the application - the form will prompt you as necessary.

There is a maximum limit of 5MB per document, although more than one document can be uploaded - so if a scanned copy of a document is too big, you can split it up into smaller documents, then attach these as necessary.
