Who you need to contact will vary depending on the nature of your query and stage that an application has reached.

General ST3 queries

In most cases queries should be sent to the Specialty Recruitment Office (SRO) at the the Royal College of Physicians via email at st3recruitment@rcplondon.ac.uk.

This includes queries about eligibility, making an application, using the Oriel system or any other general queries about the process.

Progress of an application

Queries relating to the progress of your application should be directed to the lead recruiter for this specialty. To find out who the lead recruiter is for your specialty please visit the 'who do I contact?' tab on the relevant specialty's page.

If you are applying in round 1 to one of the specialties using the cascadable application model (acute internal medicine, cardiology, endocrinology & diabetes, geriatric medicine, renal medicine), this will be the lead region for your first choice cluster of regions; this will be clear on the 'Interview dates & posts' section of the specialty's page.

  • Eligibility checking - the lead recruiter for your specialty (or cluster if cascadable) will check your application for eligibility. If you are asked to something during this stage you will need to supply to the region.
  • Attending interview - once you are booked onto an interview you will need to direct any queries about attending to the region hosting the centre.  For most national specialties this will be the lead region, but may differ for specialties using the single transferable score recruitment model.
  • Information about the region/programme - if you want additional information about the ST3 programme within a region you will need to direct these to the relevant region.

Additional application documentation/information

If you need to send any documentation or information separately to your application (eg. Fitness to Practise information) it should be sent to the lead recruiter for that specialty (or cluster lead if a cascadable specialty).  Please note some regions may have confidential enquiry email address, so please review the region contacts page to check you are sending to the correct address.
